An oak staircase for a barn conversion
The client wanted a single flight with no visible fixings. The barn floor dropped 18mm across the stair opening, so every riser had to be cut to its own height.
We cut all treads from one tree, which keeps the colour consistent along the flight. The whole stair was dry-assembled in the workshop, taken apart, and rebuilt on site in a day.
